The Lightyears, the band who brought the inaugural Castle Cape Town Tens to its knees, will be back at Hamilton's this weekend to lead the party in the Castle Beer Tent - all weekend long!
The Lightyears are a four-piece band based in London and have performed all over the world - including places like South Korea, Thailand, USA, mainland Europe and, of course, Cape Town (last year).
Pianist Chris Russell, the band's spokesperson, says the lads are very excited about returning to Cape Town; with Tony Lyons (vocals, drums) and brothers George (lead vocals, guitar) and John (bass player) Owens all set to hit the Mother City one more time.
"Last year's Cape Town Tens was one of our highlights (of 2009) - we've been looking forward to coming back for ages," Chris told capetowntens.com.
"Cape Town's a pretty special place for The Lightyears - everyone was so welcoming last time that we didn't want to go back home! We simply cannot wait and will see you all this weekend in the Beer Tent."
Since last year's Cape Town Tens, The Lightyears have performed twice at Wembley Stadium in front of 50,000-strong crowds on both occasions.
The second time, before the Saracens-Springbok match, The Lightyears performed alongside Bok van Blerk and they have also written the soundtrack for (and starred in) a major T-Mobile advert campaign - which has meant massive TV exposure for the band!
To top it all off, they have also just released a single with Universal Records - all of which has given them even more firepower ahead of this weekend, so don't you dare miss them in the Beer Tent this weekend.
